How to import monsters if the capture device does not work

There have been several monsters that will not import using the firefox plugin. Is there another way I can import them? I am not much of a computer techy. I am on a mac with os 10.6.

Thanks for any help.

I have not used this program yet, but if I can import the monsters, it would make this program top on my list to try. I like what I have seen so far just toying around with it

Which Monsters?

We tested a fair amount of monster, however there may be some limitations in the import algorithm. If you could provide us with the ID or URL to the monsters (or at least the name). Also nice is to include the vcc.log for these imports. I have notice that the Blue Dragon Sky Bandit has an error on the D&D Insider entry (not on VCC logic).

Trouble capturing monsters

These are the items I was not able to capture. They are all from an adventure from DDI insider, the Forbidden Forge. There were also some other traps that would not import.

Can't capture traps yet

VCC is not capturing traps, this is on our roadmap (issue #109: Adding a trap to VCC Compendium). The monters have a line break in the power action description. This is what is causing the problem with the import, I think we need to make the capture logic a bit more lenient with the format.

The URL I wanted what the D&D Insider one: http://www.wizards.com/dndinsider/compendium/monster.aspx?id=3462 for Dakai

I added an issue to handle these problem #145: Fail to capture some monster
