Virtual Combat Cards 1.7.2 is out!
We are happy to announce the release of Virtual Combat Cards version 1.7.2. While we are releasing as a patch this does include some new feature. The main improvement is ability to load Adventure Tools exported files (the
.monster files). This means you can now bring in your custom monsters to the fray.
Importing these files and the character files can be done by the Import Tool (under the Compendium menu).
The new feature also include a little change in release mode. We have not been able to test all possible combinations of monsters features. We have tested with several interesting creatures and some formats but we urge you to double check the imported information, in particular the power descriptions. Instead of waiting for a perfect release we focused on a reasonably viable one.
This version includes the following changes:
- #123: Import creatures from D&DI Adventure Tools
- Ability to collect metrics of users configuration anonymously.
The metric collection feature was introduced to give us some insight on what are the systems and usage patterns of our users. This should make allow us to focus of enhancement to our software. We did a mini poll here.
If you do not wish to share the information, disable it via the menu File > Preferences (last check box). We urge you to share the data. We collect information like: Operating System, Screen Size, Size of your compendium, use of plugins.
