SGML is designed to allow the following:
Allow definitions of story elements common to all stories: characters, groups, locales and events
Allow definition of informations to flesh out the elements (background, goals, relationship)
The relationships between elements like: membership to groups, relationships between elements
Multiple names and aliases to the elements, allowing them to be known in diferent ways
Due to SGML linking of story elements, each element has an unique identifier. This allows a way of identifying player during game without handing important informations like their names.
